Happy No Housework Day!

Today is a day that I’ve been looking forward to for a while.

I’m using it as an excuse to force myself to rest.

No yard work. No dishes.

Just comics and possibly stories with the Rev. Dark Wombat.

Yesterday was a long day.

Everything I tried to do for myself, didn’t work like I wanted it to.

Fires wouldn’t stay lit for me. Weedeaters wouldn’t start. Take orders got mixed up.

But alas, things I did with other people in mind went fantastic.

I took Gabb the Blabb to Starbucks on our way to my work stuff in the morning.

I murdered a red cedar for Jitterbug.

I got the parts I ordered for work in early.

We surprised the Blacksmith for his birthday by all bowling together.

It was pretty awesome.

By sundown I gave up on trying to do things for selfish reasons and just settled in to hang with everyone.

At which point they all did their own thing and I went off to read comics.

Funny how that works sometimes.

All right, I’m gonna go mess up my kitchen and ignore it until tomorrow.
