Bobby McFerrin Patiently Waiting In His Grave To Die.

Arms crossed. Rolling over and over. Just tapping out a little beat on his chest.
Yesterday was a long, grueling day.
It was also leg day.
So after a brutal workout and a long day of errands, I decided to take it easy.
Just kidding.
I walked almost 4 and a half miles while I was waiting for the volleyball games to end.
I had intended to go for a walk at the end of the day because I had done so much shit all day.
But my watch doesn’t register steps when I’m carrying stuff up countless flights of stairs, or going up and down ladders, pushing shopping carts all over department stores.
So it said I had only walked 6,000 steps by the end of the day.
Which was bullshit, but I needed to make my watch think otherwise so that it didn’t fuck up my streak.
Since the 29th of June I’ve hit 10,000 steps everyday according to my watch.
And I’ve only missed 11 days this entire year.
According to my phone, I’ve had fewer missed days than that, but I’m trying to let the step counting watch have the benefit of the doubt here.
Since we started this boxing workout program, I haven’t been running as much.
Which is really fucking up my day mileage count.
I’m about 5.5 miles below where I need to be to stay on track for the 8.8 miles a day for the remainder of the year.
It doesn’t help that I’m old and tired either.
I had to keep moving in order to just stay awake yesterday.
As soon as I sat down for a few minutes…

It was all over.
Now it’s awake time again.
My ass is sore.
My quads are sore.
My everything from the tits down is sore.
I’m glad I’ve got another full day of carrying things up and down stairs to look forward to.
I’m might trying putting my watch in my pocket while I do that.
See if that counts the steps a little better.
Otherwise I’m gonna need you all to start giving me your spare change so I can save up for an Apple Watch.
And with that, I’m off.
See ya’ tomorrow.
More soon. ~SC
