Just Talking About It Is Making My Mouth Water.

Like I wanna throw up.

Over the weekend a lot of things happened.

October ended, for one.

I rounded out the month with 393,335 steps for a total of 193.8 miles.

That brings my year to date totals up to 4,249,248 steps and 2186.9 miles.

I need 613.1 more miles to reach the 2800 mile mark which is roughly from the coast of South Carolina to the coast of southern California.

That means I’ll need to average 10.1 miles day for the rest of the year.

It’s not looking so great for that.

Especially with me not running very often right now.

However, if we lower the bar from the rough average of the distance across the United States and instead make it the shortest distance from coast to coast, that gives us 2671 miles from San Diego, CA to Brunswick, GA.

Which means I’m only 484.1 miles shy of reaching that goal.

And that means I’d only need to average 7.94 miles a day for the remainder of the year.

Which is totally doable.

I averaged 6.25 a day in October because I was working out instead of running.

So if I can squeeze an extra mile and three-quarters walk or run in every day, I’ll hit that goal no problem.

And thus I’ll have traveled across the country, from coast to coast, on foot, in 2020.

If I pull it off, I’m definitely getting a medal.

Or a trophy.

But probably a medal.

That seems more appropriate.

But there’s a long way to go before that happens.

484.1 miles, to be exact.

One day at time.

On that note, let’s get back to this past weekend.

Saturday was a very long day.

So many things.

So many people.

I was fried by the end of it all…

Sunday was a little calmer.

We took our time getting around and working out.

Which was nice because of the time change.

Our routine wasn’t thrown way off by dragging our feet a bit.

We even had a little time to lay around in between the few activities that were on the books…

But today is Monday.

Lay around time is over.

It’s time to get busy.

And to start clocking miles.

That medal is earned.

Not given.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC
