When even is state?

The word of the day is: Absurd.

[ ab-surd, -zurd ] adjective utterly or obviously senseless, illogical, or untrue; contrary to all reason or common sense; laughably foolish or false: an absurd explanation. noun the quality or condition of existing in a meaningless and irrational world.

Because America.

Speaking of absurd things, my watch didn’t track my activity for nine days in November.

At the time it should that is was working just fine.

Only once I started digging back for the year end totals did I discover that it “forgot” nine whole fucking days.

So there’s no telling how many other times it just didn’t count steps or activity throughout the year.

The good news is that the stuff it remembered is still awesome.

In 2020, I traveled 2497.5 miles on foot.

With a grand total of 4,895,601 steps.

Just FYI, 2497.5 miles is the distance from Beijing to Guam.

As the crow flies.

There’s a decent chance that I would’ve hit 5 million steps for the year had I not lost 9 days.

Which is fucking insane.

I’m not saying that my 4.9 million isn’t ridiculously amazing.

It’s all pretty… absurd.

I mean, that’s an average of 13,413 steps a day.

Or an average of roughly 6.5 miles every day.

I’m gonna have to ramp it up soon if I want to beat those numbers this year.

It’s gonna be an uphill battle if the rest of the year is anything like yesterday.

I’m just gonna not sit down all day for the rest of the year.

That’ll get my steps up.

Right?
