But then I got high.

The word of the day is: Oblong.

[ ob-lawng, -long ] adjective elongated, usually from the square or circular form. in the form of a rectangle one of whose dimensions is greater than the other. noun an oblong figure.

Don’t worry.

That’s just an acetaminophen.

A la Dr. Mario.

And I am not supposed to take those any more.

So when my headache showed up yesterday, I took one of the samples my neurologist gave me.

It made me kinda high.

Like dizzy and brain foggy high.

Not like “dude, this is bitchin” high.

But it got rid of my headache.

For a little while at least.

I did rest quite a bit, though.

I finished reading the third volume of “March” by John Lewis.

Weirdly enough on the anniversary of his death.

Spooky.

I also started reading “Black Mage” by Daniel Barnes.

And “The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo” by Taylor Jenkins Reid.

And “Nothing to See Here” by Kevin Wilson.

All are off to a good start.

I’m hoping to get them all read this week.

They’ll put me at the 149 books mark for the year.

So close to 150 I can taste it.

Now that it’s Monday again, the reading will proceed with filling in the gaps between projects.

And given my calendar so far, there won’t be a lot of gaps.

I’d better get to work.
