Le Duke has returned safely from his maison en France. And now it is time to get back to work. Actual work, not typing on wordpress work. Before I actually get to work (he’s still sleeping), I have a few thoughts that I would like to share. 1) I believe I shot myself in the foot. After posting my film In My Shoes on here via youtube, I was reading this past year’s regulations for Festival de Cannes, which had no entry fee for short films, and realized that they will not accept any film that is shown on the internet. It’s okay. I just have to make another film before January. No problem. 2) If conversation is really on it’s way out, it will surely be picked up by those people who collect “civilization’s” refuse, the artists. Like the lithograph and the letterpress before it, conversation will be picked from the curb free of charge for the first ten years, then sold for thousands of dollars once the masses realize that they can sell this old thing that was their parents, until Wal-Mart starts selling chinese-made ones and forces the artists to find some other abandoned usefull thing and try not to starve by exploiting it. If anybody wants to buy a conversation, I have them for sale for only three easy payments of $39.99. Let me know. On a darker note, Pancake Land’s withdrawal is still getting scarier. So, any chcocalte ice cream you can send to Holliday Island would be appreciated. Off to do real work. More soon. ~SC
