The End Of A Chapter.

We take the the kittens back this morning. In order to prepare for the heap of crying that will be Pancake Land, I took the day off. I was going to shoot a bunch of photos of the kittens for the post, but the house is still dark and the camera doesn’t now how to function in low light, as we have discussed before. So, instead of my photos of kittens, I’ll show Pancake Land’s.

Arthur.

Betty.

Cheyenne.

Dexter.

Those are our babies. Well, soon to be someone else’s babies. I won’t lie, it’s quite upsetting for me. I’ve been shoveling their poop, and petting them, and removing them from the curtains, and nuzzling with them, and chasing them the kitten wand for close to five weeks now. The silence of the house is going to be creepy. For five weeks there has almost constantly been a meowing or a crashing or a clawing sound coming from somewhere in the house. It will be weird.

Oh, depressing. Enough of that. Since I am taking, at least most, of the day off, I am going to use that opportunity to work on getting registered for Fall classes before they can put an advisor hold on my account. I’ll probably end up working on those mugs for the Northern crew as well. Strangely enough, after deciding that I was taking today off and clearing it with Le Duke, the garage door company called to say they were going to come by and install our new garage door today. Funny how things work out, isn’t it. Lose the kittens, get a garage door. It’s a strange trade up, but the Universe provides and the Dude abides.

Well, I need to go get Pancake Land up and ready for the upcoming sob fest. Maybe we’ll just hold each other and cry. More soon. ~SC
