Roll Up!

And a good Saturday morning to all. What an exciting night I had. And by exciting, I mean that I ate this week’s leftovers and beat Katamari Damacy. I won’t go into details, but let’s just say that I could feel the Cosmos last night and I rocked it hard. Making the moon took serious stamina. I had to pause a time or two to rest my thumbs.

So, K and I were in the paper yesterday. Did you see it? I would scan the photo and show it to you, but until I find out what exactly counts as copyright infringement, I’ll just send you the link to the local paper’s website. Click here if you haven’t gotten enough of me wearing a paper hat.

I also discovered that they are making a film adaptation of The Rum Diaries by Hunter S. Thompson. You can read more about it by clicking here.

This morning on Weekend Edition: Saturday I heard a really kick ass interview with Sir Michael Caine about his new autobiography The Elephant to Hollywood. I am tempted to get the audiobook, because Sir Michael Caine reads it, but it is abridged and I don’t want to miss one juicy detail. Those publisher bastards always do this. They abridge the audio version so that you have to buy the physical book in order to get the whole story. They do it with almost every David Sedaris book as well. It is not like the audiobook is cheaper than a paper copy, so why do they insist on abridging the damn things? You know what David Sedaris calls people who do things like that? Assholes.

Anyways, I wanted to post the interview on here, but the audio is not available until after Noon today, so you’ll have to go to their site and listen for yourself. I don’t have time to just wait around for NPR to release audio for you. I’ve got stuff to do today. Bones is not going to watch itself. There are Oreos with frosty mugs of milk to be consumed. Who will do these things if I don’t? You?! I don’t think so. That said, here is the link to the page where the audio interview should be sometime today. Lawrence Jameson.

I forgot to tell you guys that Pancake Land and I won the Powerball the other day. Isn’t that exciting? We are officially lottery winners. It feels quite validating to win the lottery, let me tell you. And don’t think for a second that we are going to squander our winnings on trivial things. That $3 dollars is going toward a good cause. Namely buying more Powerball tickets. Hey, we are winners and you are not. So, keep your jealousy to yourself.

Now is the time for which I dance. And clean the house so that Back Alley Trey can bring his (perspective) Lady Friend over and watch the remake of Nightmare on Elm Street, i.e. make out (hopefully). Anyway, my thinking is, the cleaner my house, the greater chance of him getting to make out with this person. Any math like that, concerning B.A.T., is good math by me. I’m sure you will all agree with me on that one. Anyway, stuff to do and I’m the robot to do it. More soon. ~SC
