Putting Out Fires.

If memory serves correctly, Back Alley Trey is going under the knife today. It’s not a huge deal, but he was a little worried. Be sure to send him some good doogies today.

It’s Friday again. That means my new article is up on the City Wire. If you would like to read it, click here: Sweet Treats. If you would not like to read the article, click here: Savory Treats. Rumor has it that I am going to be on the front page. Click here to find out if what the They say is true: Well, hello there you handsome devil.

Let’s see what new and interesting things I have for you today…

Well, Dave finally updated his website. You can see the new fun things by clicking here: Jerky Dickerson Sends His Regards. The new work is pretty badass. That reminds me, I need to get with Dave and see about making some new collaborative work.

Also, I just discovered that someone linked to me on their website, and I have no idea who they are. This freaks me out a little. If you want to see their site, click here: Almost A Velociraptor, But Not Quite.

That’s it for the new new. I think.

Yesterday, I had planned on glazing all day, but the Universe had other plans. It decided to hook a big battery to La Duchess’s superdestructive electromagnetic field of pain and suffering, then it fed her a cup of coffee, and set her loose in the house. The first half of my day went like this:

1) La Duchess’s hard drive will not be recognized by her computer. So I take the hard drive and plug it into Le Duke’s computer. In the process of plugging it in, I must unplug printer #1 to do so.

2) La Duchess decides that this is the opportune time to print a proof of some photos that she has been working on in Photoshop. La Duchess sends the images to printer #1. Why can’t she print?! Remember? I unplugged it. So she decided to print on printer #2 instead. Meanwhile, I am trying to get the hard drive to work and not make beeping/scraping/vibrating noises.

3) She is having difficulties with printer #2. Printer #2 is just short of catching on fire. It is:

a) Giving her paper size errors.

b) Constantly getting paper jams.

c) Not printing the image, but instead printing hundreds of sheets with only single lines of gibberish on them.

4) Now Photoshop is locking up. Perhaps it is because you are running OSX 10.4 on an old Macbook Pro and trying to print huge images on two printers at the same time. I am still trying to get the hard drive to work, and reload paper into the crazy printer/unstick paper jams.

I thought that I might catch on fire. But I didn’t. Instead I put my headphones on and got to glazing in peace. Perhaps it was my blissful ignorance of anyone coming into the room or perhaps the look of sheer rage/anger/annoyance on my face deterred anyone from bothering me, but no one disturbed my work for the rest of the day.

Then I came home and ate leftover tuna helper and tried not to slip into a dark place. I vacuumed the living room and washed all of the laundry instead.

Today is going to be cake. Glazathon, clay truck, shipping orders, and chicken fried steak. Ain’t nothin’ simpler. More soon. ~SC

I have gotten the hundreds of single lines of gibberish before at work. Let me know if you need help with that.

  2. Dave says:

This may only be attributed to user error.

  3. clay truck= not simple.
