The Innernet Says It Was Delivered.

That is literally what UPS told me when I called to inquire about the whereabouts of Pancake Land’s birthday presnent. They told me that and, due to Amazon’s power and influence with UPS, to contact Amazon to work it out with them. I just want my damn package. After consulting Amazon’s website about how to handle this situation, I did not feel any better. Amazon suggested that I wait a few days because sometimes carriers will change a package’s status to delivered even though the package is not delivered. They also suggested that I check all of the alternate entrances to my home and the bushes and shrubs around the house in case the deliver person put my package there for safe keeping. Jeezus. I’m dealing with robots. Robots programmed with only the most ridiculous scenarios and regurgitating corporate propaganda as they run said scenarios.

Ultimately I had Amazon call me. On the phone. So that I could talk to a human being. The human that called me was very apologetic and helpful and she gave me my money back (in 2-10 business days). That doesn’t help me very much right now. It is a good thing that I held off on buying myself presnents. This time around, I’m going to buy something from a store, in town, that I can walk into and put my hands on the items that I am buying. The innernet is a jerk.

The good news is that I managed to finish making the ridiculously huge number of fish plates yesterday. I get a bit of a break from making forms until next week. The rest of this week is glazing and grind/pack/ship. But before that, I’ve got meet K up at the Letterpress shop. Speaking of which, I need to run. More soon. ~SC
