So, Pancake Land starts training for her new job today. She is now officially an elementary school secretary. That is so hot. She’s got her work cut out for her though, in the next few weeks she’s got TB tests to get, and CPR classes, and other seemingly random letters that stand for important stuff to deal with. I’m so excited and proud right now. In my own childhood, as well as P.L.’s, the school secretary was my favorite person at school. She always looked out for me and whenever I was “sick” she always made me feel better by giving me a peppermint and allowing me to rest in the nurse’s office until lunch. Awesome.

Well, yesterday was a day of dealing with jobs. Between my normal crunch time work at the studio and my normal household duties on Holliday Island, I had the joy of trying to get two of my other jobs realigned to my being back at home schedule. Mike Tango and I had a pretty good brainstorming session over the phone and made arrangements for a meeting in a few weeks to see how those ideas have grown. K and I worked out a few things about my upcoming tasks at the Letterpress shop, as well. But mostly, I made stuff out of clay and tried desperately to catch up on a month’s worth of SModcast.

Today I will be continuing that attempt. And I will also be making more stuff. And I seem to recall making a note to myself regarding copying all of the files from one of La Duchess’s hard drives to the other. Or something like that. It’s a little early to be trying to think about things like that.

Grrr… why have none of my favorite video makers posted anything new?

Well, I can’t think anything else funny or clever to say this morning so I’m going to poo before riding to work. More soon. ~SC
