I want to start out today’s post by congratulating myself on getting to bed at a decent hour, then sleeping all night, and waking up to the alarm clock. It seems like forever ago since I managed to pull that off.
In other news, Prince Jazzbo has returned from Little Rock with a prognosis and prescriptions in hand. Hooray for antidepressants!
Since I haven’t really posted in the past few days, I’ll recap what I’ve been doing since Monday. Glazing. That is all. Then cleaning PJ’s house. I did manage to finally wash my dishes from Sunday, though. I’ll be glazing again today, but first…
I have a meeting this morning with the dad of one of my students. It’s not a bad meeting. At least I don’t think it’s a bad meeting. He called me last week and wanted to get with me to discuss some ideas he’s had about new teaching methods and technologies and whatnot. If it were anybody else, I would have groaned when he said this, but this particular dad is pretty well know for being a solid idea guy. By that I mean he has built an empire from the ground up, based on his ideas. When he has ideas, you listen. Anyway, I’ve got a meeting with him in about half an hour. I’ll let you know if he gives me an iPad.
Yesterday, Dave sent me a video. It involves both clever design and snacks. Two things that I can get behind, so I thought I’d share. Enjoy:
Since the holidays are upon us, I guess I’ll talk about them. As most of you know I would normally be in a buying ban right now. Typically I don’t buy anything major between November first and December 31 to avoid ruining people’s surprises. This year, due to current circumstances, I’ve decided to cancel Grismas. Seeing as how my mother will never let me live it down if I singlehandedly ruin her Grismas, I’ve withdrawn my ban and limited my gift giving only to immediate family. Word to Me, Big D, Teacher Sis, Prince Jazzbo. That’s it. I love all of you, but I don’t have the emotional energy, the time, or the income to search your soul then subsequently the innernet to buy you something. I still love you, just don’t expect anything. It’s okay, I won’t expect anything from you. It’s been a rough year for everybody. Grismas will just have to resume next year.
That’s all for today. I’m off to my meeting then to glazing. Tonight, Bones. More soon. ~SC
