Good morning all. It is Black Friday. Which means my editor is still asleep, so my article isn’t up on the City Wire just yet. I’ll let you know when it becomes available.

Well, Thanksgiving went as well as can be expected. Other than being kind of depressing, it was relatively uneventful. If you don’t count me eating my body weight in buttery foods as an event. After my massive lunch, I waddled around for a few hours, played a lot of cards, and then headed over to Teacher Sis’s to watch last week’s episode of Bones. She had somehow convinced me that I needed to come with her to WalMart* for the 10pm opening of Black Friday. That was insane. A fight literally broke out over a bin of 600 thread-count sheets that were on sale for $20. Scary.

There is so much going on today and I of course am running late. Plus, I think I’m getting an ingrown toenail, so every step I take shoots a sharp pain up through my leg straight to my brain.

Let’s see what’s happening today. Well, of course, there’s the home show at Lippincottonia. It will be going from 10am-4pm today, tomorrow, and Sunday. Come by and buy stuff so that I can keep my job.

Then, there’s also the unveiling of Prince Jazzbo’s pizza the “Kickin’ Pepperoni” at Larry’s pizza today. This also coincides with our football game against LSU. It is a good thing that we are going to utterly destroy them. But just for good measure, you should say a couple of quick prayers to Batman, the sweet baby Jesus, and whoever else it is that you pray to, to help ensure our victory.

After all of this excitement, I get to hustle home, take a shower, do prep work, and head over to the Data K/Nicky the Cook residence for our annual Thanksgiving S.A.N.D. meeting. The theme is steak and baked potatoes. I’m bringing the asparagus.

Oh, look at the time. I’ve gotta run. Happy Friday to you all. More soon. ~SC
