I Think She Intended It To Be An Enchilada.

Morning kids. Did you survive the first day of school? I did and in the process became the biggest English football fan of all time.
Let me explain. My first class of the day was History of England to 1714 (but really just 1603). To get the class a bit more involved, and to make us think more like the English, my teacher assigned each of us a football (soccer) team to follow. Every Friday, on what my professor calls “Fabulous Football Friday”, we have to give an update on how our team did during the week. I’m thinking that I might start harassing the people whose teams get beaten by mine. What could be more English than that? Anyways, I got West Bromwich Albion. Go Baggies!
After that excitement, I came home for a bite to eat. Then, I swung by Lippincottonia for a bolt for the trike and to work on the computer for a second. Then, it was off to Social Psychology. My professor is a strange man, but I think the class is going to be pretty awesome. He seems to know his stuff. Plus, he made a Ferris Bueller’s Day Off reference that I might be the only person who caught. I think we’re going to get along swimmingly.
After that class I met up with the Rev. Dark Wombat and Jackie the Mick and we headed off to get a gym membership. If you combined our collective sloth with our collective gluttony you get a collective spare tire around our midsections. So it goes. Plus, I need a bit more upper body strength to draw my bow to full length. The cool thing is that I didn’t have to sign a year long contract because I am a student, but I get the yearly rate which is cheaper than the monthly rate. Monthly contract, yearly rate. Works for me. After we left the gym, the Rev. and I headed over for a quick round of arrows before whipping up a bit healthier than usual dinner of vegetable beef soup. I’m going to attempt to stop eating my recent alternating menu of Vienna sausages and El Super Taco.
Today is an exciting one already. As I was sitting here typing this, I got a knock on my door. Who could it be? FedEx of course! Bringing me my trusty backpack back from the repair center! Now I’m really ready for school again. After I finish this post, I’ve got to put the finishing touches on this week’s article and pay bills. Maybe balance the checkbook. After that I have to hit the books to start reading my stuff for my 2 classes. That is all before my class tonight. There was also talk of a run to the sporting goods store to have arrows refletched. Man, writing it all out makes me realize how much I have to do today. I’d better get started. Have a good one. More soon. ~SC

Ooh! Pick me a team! I want to love football.
From what little I know of English football, I got bad news for you on the “my football team is winning” front. Basically, if you didn’t draw Manchester City or Manchester United, you’re pretty well buggered, at least in the Barclay’s Premiere League…it’s complicated. Shame you didn’t get Arsenal, there’s a Nick Hornby book (& film, with Colin Firth) that goes along with that one. Also, hello again! I started school again this week as well. So I guess this means I’ma start posting again and all that. Whee!
P.S. Jessie, if you want to follow a team that does well but isn’t one of the Manchester clubs (which are kind of like supporting the Yankees), I recommend Chelsea, Liverpool, or Tottenham Hotspur.
Aye, but we crushed Liverpool on Saturday and we’re gonna crush Tottenham tomorrow! Also, great to hear from you friend.
