Don’t You Ever Stop?

Long enough to start.

(To take your car outta that gear.)

I love this song and it has been playing in my head for the past few weeks. I figured I’d get it stuck in your head as well. Misery loves company.

So, yesterday I had assumed would be a work day. I come from Lippincottonia, and we work on Mondays. But, alas, no. My student had holiday stuff to do. And since I had already told everyone that I was working, they made other plans that didn’t involve me. That means I got the whole day to myself. I had two phone calls all day. And a handful of messages. Mainly responses to messages that I sent out. Was it awesome? Of course it was.

I got a lot of house work done and listened to a good deal of the new David Sedaris book. I can’t tell you how many times I had to stop working because I was laughing so hard. At some point I found this website, because Johnny Fox pointed me to it, that allows you to watch television shows for free. Pretty much any show, any season, any episode.

Since the Rev. Dark Wombat was doing family stuff, I watched Castle without him via the sneaky website.

Oh. Holy shit. I almost forgot to tell you the biggest news of the century!

Some of you know this about me, but I love sausage pizza. I couldn’t give two shits about pepperoni pizza. Fuck pepperoni pizza. I love sausage pizza. Me and three other people in the universe. Which is why it nearly impossible to find a frozen sausage pizza. I mean, sure, I can find the 88¢ cardboard party pizzas, but a decent frozen sausage pizza? No. Until yesterday. When I found this:

Sausage Pizza

I might have been so excited that I cooked an extra pound of Italian sausage and dumped it on top of the pizza. So, I had my own private sausage (pizza) party here on Holliday Island yesterday. And maybe I lit a few candles, tuned into the Castle, and put on a little smooth house™. And maybe I didn’t do those things. If only these walls could talk. They’d probably have many more interesting stories to tell you.

Well, I should probably get to work. And so should you. More soon. ~SC

Thanks for the reminder of why I thought yesterday would be a work day. I was so certain it was a work day that when I didn’t receive any communication from my boss, I checked that all communication devices were in fact working properly. Never occurred to me it was because it was a holiday.
