High five, bro.

I’m not much for scary movies and whatnot, but I do love the Addams Family. Probably because as a child, a family member, who shall remain nameless, told me that they were my real family. And me, being a child, believed them.

The brilliance of the Addams Family comes from the same place the brilliance of Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil comes from. They approach the situation from a “this is normal” perspective. And then comedy ensues.

Plus, Addams Family had Cousin It and the Thing. I remember wishing (and still do) I had a pet hand that roamed around the house doing stuff for me.

And I could also put a sign on the front door that reads “Beware of the Thing”. Can’t you just imagine the cuteness of Thing and the cats snuggling together? Face melt.

Speaking of not liking scary things, Andi the Numbers and I agree on that. We don’t care to be scared. But, we also agree that we love other people being scared.
