Cut to Three Hours Later…

And that’s how we found ourselves at a place called Chicken Wangs Cafe.

And no, it’s not a Chinese restaurant.

Feliz Dia de los Muertos! To all of my Mexican friends. Happy Sunday after Halloween to all of you white people. Happy Birthday Cherry Bomb!

What’s there not to be happy about?

Rape and genocide, for starters.

Yesterday was an excellent day. For one, I got the hell out of town. With Teacher Sis. So, that is all you really needed to know about why the day was awesome. T.S. and I on a road trip = awesome.

To level up the awesome times, we hit a brief clearance run in town first, because we suspended the buying ban for one day in order to have a “Treat Yo’ Self” Caturday. I bought a lot of air fresheners and a tiny plastic Bruce Lee. Yeah.

After the clearance run, we headed down to Little Rock. Where we proceeded to spend an hour and change in the Container Store geeking out over how OCD we are. I bought a lot of thumb tacks and a travel pill box that looks like a giant pill ala Dr. Mario.

After that awesome time, we walked next door to eat at Big Orange. Holy Shit. Not familiar with them? You really should be. If you like food. Most of the food is local, for starters. I had a perfectly cooked medium burger with havarti, bacon, a fried egg, butter leaf lettuce, tomato, red onion, and aioli. It was a magic trick of a burger. With one quick attempt to flatten the burger in order to fit it into my mouth, it transformed from a solid into a deliciously semi-liquid hot mess. So many different liquids running through my beard. Like Hansel and Gretel in the woods. And then there was the truffle-garlic-herb fries dipped in aioli. Yeah. I bought a t-shirt. It’ll more than likely be in today’s Daily Photo.

After dinner, we headed to the game. Oh, right. You forgot why I actually went to Little Rock. For Roller Derby, of course. I couldn’t miss Leggy Sue’s last game, could I? No. I couldn’t. I love watching people cry, after all.

I shot nearly 1,300 photos. They are uploading to the computer now, so I’ll be checking them soon to see if I got any decent shots. The lighting was strange, so we’ll just have to wait and see. Overall, CARD (Central Arkansas Roller Derby) was a great and friendly and welcoming host team. Everybody was super nice and nobody freaked out when shit kept not going according to plan.

Why did the bicycle keep falling down?

Because it was two tired.

As for today, I have to catch up on all of the house work that I’ve ignored for the past week. So much laundry. So many dishes. So few groceries. It is time I remedied that.

I hope you enjoy this extra hour you get today.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC
