Like the way Felix Felicis makes you lucky.
Because I’d drink the ever-loving-shit out of it.
I spent the majority of yesterday not listening to Chvrches after all. Instead, I listened to St. Paul and the Broken Bones all day. They just blew me away. It just gets better and better every time I listen to the album. Ridiculously good stuff.
By the end of the day, all I wanted to hear was him try his hand at an Otis Redding song. I got my wish.
I actually made a joke about him getting into soul music because of watching Pretty in Pink. If you want to see the whole show that’s from, click here.
And that’s my little obsessive rant about that.
As for the rest of yesterday, I was really productive despite everyone’s attempts to distract me.
I swear, people must have just sensed that I was trying to work because they ALL sent me messages or called me. All day. Messages, Messenger, Hangouts. All of them. All day.
But, like I said, I was productive despite people’s wishes. I printed two new postcards. I also met up with K from Ars Brevis and borrowed a bit of woodtype and an 8-line apostrophe. Once I had acquired those things, I laid out a commissioned poster and another new postcard. Ready to be printed at my earliest convenience. Whenever that will be.
Today will be a blur of workout, helping Teacher Sis be a derby unicorn, shopping for various things, nachos, and Larry Jenkins saving the day.
If you know what’s good for you, I wouldn’t stand in the way of any of that.
See ya’ tomorrow.
More soon. ~SC
