Has the World Gone Crazy?

That was a rhetorical question.

Either way, mark it zero dude.

What has happened to the world?

The answer, is people.

People have ruined everything.

I mean, how hard is it to stock vanilla gelato? You carry all the other flavors. Why don’t you have the one I want. I seemingly regular flavor. You carry chocolate. You carry strawberry. Why no vanilla?

It’s probably the same reason you don’t carry a decent sausage frozen pizza.

And the “you” in question is every store in town. I finally found a freezer-burned pint of vanilla at the CV’s by Ramsey.

But not even they carried a sausage pizza.

Sure I could buy a 50 cent Totino’s sausage pizza. But I could also hose the paper freezer bag with olive oil, Italian seasoning, and garlic salt and it would probably be a higher quality reproduction of a sausage pizza than Totino’s.

Not that you don’t have the craving for the occasional Totino’s sausage pizza. But you don’t eat it because it is good. You eat it to remember the good old days when you were dirt poor and the case of these things, that you got from a food closet somewhere, kept you alive for like a month. Back when cigarettes being bad for you was something that happened in the future…

Aw. Memories.

Those really were better days in a weird sort of way. The days before all the bills and responsibilities. Before all the fear. Before all the sadness.

(waggles head side to side)

Whoa. Shit got dark there for a moment.

I was gonna go for a run, but then I got high (not really). And went back to bed.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC

P.S. I uploaded the best photos from the derby double header, on Saturday, to Flickr. You can see them here. Here’s a taste…

the answer is to buy frozen sausage. and frozen cheese pizzas. and put the two together whenever you damn well please.

I went to the liquor store because the urge to start slapping people is strong right now.

Nostalgia is a trap and a lie. Problems are ever the same, they just change costumes.
