A Cold Wind Is Blowing.

And it’s gonna blow my house of cards over.

By “my house of cards” I mean this website.

For some fucking insane reason, half of the website decided to stop working last night. No idea why. And then as I was updating Trapped In Ice, the website decided to delete the entire gallery of face scans. Luckily, Furious Jessy put all of Humpty Dumpty’s pieces back together and saved me from having to rebuild that gallery.

But before we get too wrapped up in that, let’s get day two of the Year of Songs rolling.

Today’s song is “Shut Up” by the Black Eyed Peas.

This song was brought to you by the J-Bird. Be sure to tell her to shut up today.

So yesterday.

My day started off on the wrong foot.

You know those days where you meticulously plan out how the day is gonna go? And then life happens. Lord Steel Bear sent me a message at about 7:30am informing me that the roofing company decided to put my new roof on. On New Year’s Day.

Okay then.

That wasn’t such a big deal. Other than I was supposed to go on a vision quest with Jitterbug sometime in the noonish region. A vision quest that required silence and tranquility. Things that dudes stomping around using nailguns eliminated.

So, instead, I went and took the first Daily Photo of the Year of Songs. Then I went to the studio and worked on stripping down the type cabinet. All day.

The roofers finished.

And I went on my vision quest with Jitterbug.

But first, I had to trap her in ice…

Jitterbug.

Jitterbug.

Then vision quest.

I saw slow bursts of blues and greens. And I was a stone. Large, smooth, and ancient. And I felt the seaweed swaying against me in the vastness of the universe.

And a ghost blew in my ear.

Vision quests are awesome.

Then, I tried to break the website. To be fair, it was practically broken already. I just touched it and it fell apart.

At some point this morning F.J. and I are gonna take a look at it and attempt to fix it. Then maybe I can actually add Jitterbug’s face scan to the Trapped in Ice gallery.

But until then, I’m gonna go watch West Brom beat the ever-loving-shit out of Stoke City. BOING BOING BAGGIES!

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC
