So, as of right now, I will be traveling for work for the next little bit. That means I’ll be quiet until I get back. How long will I be gone? No idea.

If I end up leaving, that is.

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. That’s today. And there’s no telling how it’ll turn out.

Yesterday was crazy.

I took the Daily Photo some time in between the normal bank run and my ridiculous amount of other work errands…

“Wasted Years”

I just had too much time on my hands.

And not the kind of thyme Zaxxon and Scawi Gawi needed.

I did so much planning and prepping yesterday.

And laundry.

This past week has just been exhausting. It has been nonstop crazy since the news article aired. Cards needing to be cut. Cards needing to be printed. Cards needing to be trimmed and stamped. Orders to be assembled and mailed out.

And then there was my regular work load. So many errands. And plates to spin. And fires to put out. And trips to almost go on. And trips yet to go on.

And the there was the never ending shooting and planning of the Daily Photos. Can you believe the year is half over? I can’t. Part of me feels like the year has flown by and is excited because it feels like we just got started. The rest of me is like “We’re ONLY halfway through the year?! Fuuuuccckk!!!”

But I made this bed and I intend to lie in it.

Someone was asking me the other day about what I’m planning to do with the project next year. I responded with I’m planning on recovering both emotionally and financially for next year’s photo project. It’ll be a minute before I tackle something this ambitious once again. I’m not getting any younger and I’m wearing the fuck out with this. And I’d like to eventually do something else. That was the whole point of me starting this project back in 2009. So, I’d carry my camera around and photograph stuff.

Whoa. That got real for a minute.

Not sorry. I needed to say it.

Am I planning on quitting taking photos of myself? Not fucking likely. Am I going to take on a project this big again without a clearly defined goal and reward (i.e. book deal or the like)? No. Probably not.

But we are once again putting the cart before the horse. This project isn’t nearly over yet. And there’s no telling what tomorrow will bring.

Plus, there’s push-ups that need doing.
