And some not-so-changing tastes.

I’d like to begin today by wishing all of you a very Happy Duchess Day. Today is usually the day I’d wish a Happy Birthday to Marget. When she died, it left a hole in the world. So, as Prime Minister, I thought we should celebrate all of the things that she stood for in life. So, I made today Duchess Day.

Go forth today with a spirit of love. See and encourage the best in everyone you encounter today. Carry around a lot of books. Speak in broken French. Wear clothing that is so tacky that it’s cool. Have a few (4?) glasses of cheap blended Scoth whiskey. Preferably Highland Mist. And most of all, be true to yourself. Let your light shine as she always let hers.

So, hmm, the Blacksmith hit me up bright and early (by that I mean last night) via email and he successfully guessed Friday’s theme correctly. Friday is “Glass”.

There’s only Thursday and Sunday left. Huh. Those are the only two skulls I haven’t finished, too. Funny how things work out.

I really love that photo. It’s one of those rare magic things where I captured everything perfectly. All out of chance. Not because I know what I’m doing or anything.

I was under a table. Surrounded by cats. I couldn’t frame that more perfectly if I tried.

In a strange turn of events, Instagram suggested that I follow Farel Dalrymple yesterday. So I did. And the first thing he posts after I start following him is that he just got confirmation that there will trade paperbacks of both Proxima Centauri and It Will All Hurt. It made my day.

That and I bought a tiny fire extinguisher to keep with my beekeeping equipment. Because I’ll be using a smoker can filled with fire and bits of things on fire. In a field. Surrounded by bees. Probably not a bad idea to have a fire extinguisher. Also, it’s adorable.

Now I just need to get my doc to give me a prescription for an EpiPen. So that no one goes into anaphylactic shock. Then I should be all set for gear. I think. I’m sure I’ll find some other piece of essential gear I need to pick up as I finish this online class.

But not today.

Today is Friday.

I might eat a whole pizza instead of working out.
