Desperately Trying to Charge My Phone.

And failing miserably.
It’s October.
Remember when Australia was on fire a few years ago?
Wrong.
That was eight months ago.
We’ve come a long way.
Literally.
I’m up to 1992.9 miles (3,855,567 steps) for the year.
For reference, I was at 1415.2 miles (2,828,340 steps) on August 04.
That’s 577.7 miles (1,027,227 steps) in 58 days.
I’m almost averaging 10 miles a day.
Since this whole thing has turned into me crossing the United States on foot, at roughly 2800 miles, that means I only need another 807.1 miles to hit that goal.
If I continue at the pace I’m going now, that puts me finishing the 2800 miles on December 20.
Or I can relax and only do 8.8 miles a day until the end of the year.
Yeah right.
Relax isn’t a word that my body understands.
Which is why my face looks this stupid all the time…

So dumb.
I could rest.
Or I could ramp it up so I average 12.82 miles a day everyday next year and walk the distance from central Alaska to central Florida which is 4681 miles.
So sayeth Google maps.
This route apparently includes taking a ferry and walking down private roads.
Oh and through bigs chunks on Canada.
Crossing a shitload of mountains and rivers in the process.
Who wants in on this challenge with me?
The nearly-a-half-marathon-a-day challenge.
If I can pull that off, I definitely get to eat as many cookies as I want.
Every.
Day.
You know what’s really fucked up about all of this?
I’m actually considering doing it.
Like for real.
I’ll definitely need to invest in some good shoes and socks.
And a very reliable fitness tracker.
Mine now is great and all, but it tends to not count steps if I’m not swinging my arm.
Like when I’m carrying things, pushing a shopping cart, or climbing ladders.
Which I do pretty much all day long everyday.
Hmm…
I’ll add all of this to my list of things to consider concerning 2021.
But for now, I must away to tend to the batshit craziness known as Thursday.
See ya’ tomorrow.
More soon. ~SC
