Once again.

The word of the day is: Fister.

Fister is a village in Hjelmeland municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The village is a small community approximately 600 inhabitants, and is located on the mainland, along the Fisterfjorden, a branch off the main Boknafjorden.

So slight change of plans yesterday.

It was raining a lot.

And I just wasn’t feeling it.

So I switched my run to virtual and went to help the Rev. Dark Wombat move into his house instead.

After helping move stuff, I met up with Jitterbug and the kiddos and we all went to one of the high schools to use their track.

And then I ran my 5k.

I clocked under 9 minutes per mile.

Not bad for having not run in ages and just started training again two weeks ago.

Now that I’m 40 I got bumped up an age bracket.

So I checked the group stats online.

I would have come in 6th in my age group.

And 38th overall.

Not bad at all.

I can live with that.

The next race, in two weeks, will be better.

As for today, we are going over to do some yard work with Beatle Sue and Stan Stan the Rockman.

And then I’m going to spend the rest of the day reading and resting.

Or so I think.
