And when he left it all started to fall apart.

The word of the day is: Erect.

[ ih-rekt ]
adjective
upright in position or posture:
to stand or sit erect.
raised or directed upward:
a dog with ears erect.
verb (used with object)
to build; construct; raise:
to erect a house.
to raise and set in an upright or vertical position:
to erect a telegraph pole.
to set up or establish, as an institution; found.
verb (used without object)
to become erect; stand up or out.

Have you ever tried to build a house of cards?

It’s fucking difficult.

I recommend spending your time reading instead.

Very little reading got done yesterday.

I hit the ground running, figuratively, and didn’t stop until bedtime.

Work was a blur of errands, preparations, tinkering, and planning.

Then I got home.

I whipped up a bean burrito for Jitterbug so she could get to her Girl Scout meeting, did a workout for the first time in a hot minute, picked up Debb the Blebb from practice, took down the wind break in the gym, and searched for Eastern Redbuds in the yard for Teacher Sis and Lord Steel Bear.

Then I finally ate some dinner, cleaned the kitchen, took a shower, took the photo, made this post, and went to fucking sleep.

Today I am hitting the ground running, literally this time, with the first of the new running training workouts.

I’ve been waiting on this program to come out for six months.

Have I been training hard so I can crush it?

No.

I’ve been snoozing my alarm and eating boxes of Girl Scout cookies.

After last night’s weight session, that is the other half of this running program, and this morning’s run, I’m gonna be pretty sore.

Yay.

Then I get to go to work and kick more ass all day.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC
