Or at least the age limits.

The word of the day is: Game.

[ geym ]
noun
an amusement or pastime:
children’s games.
the material or equipment used in playing certain games:
a store selling toys and games.
adjective, gam·er, gam·est.
pertaining to or composed of animals hunted or taken as game or to their flesh.
having a fighting spirit; plucky.
verb (used without object), gamed, gam·ing.
to play games of chance for stakes; gamble.
Digital Technology. to play computer or video games.

And there’s only one kind of game really.

The kind played with pencil and paper and dice and wizards/elves/etc.

I ran my second 5k of 2021 yesterday.

I got 18th overall and 4th in my age division.

Only because the age group was 31-40 and not 40-49.

I would’ve got first had it been the latter.

I feel really good about the run though.

The three guys that beat me in my age group were early to mid 30s and active army.

And the guy that got third place beat me by 4 seconds.

I definitely held my own.

Especially given that I’ve been back to running less than a month.

After my run I napped.

And then I started the preparations for Aldis the Goldenboy’s birthday dinner.

So many chicken strips.

I got to bed later than I would’ve liked.

Because other people.

Today I’m making brunch for Jitterbug and Beatle Sue for Mother’s Day.

And then I’m “resting” the remainder of the day.

Happy Mother’s Day to all you mothers out there.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC
