For something that actually helps get you through the day.

Saturday was as futbol as I could make it.

Aldis the Goldenboy had a game in the morning.

I had my first game reffing in the afternoon.

And I rounded the day out watching Sporting Kansas City play Columbus Crew.

I watched until the lightning delay at 77 minutes.

Then I went to bed and finished the final 13 minutes of the match yesterday morning.

I’m glad I didn’t stay up to wait for the game to resume.

The last 13 minutes were not thrilling.

We ended up drawing 0-0.

Yesterday’s theme was: denial.

It pretty much just rained all day.

They cancelled the game I was supposed to help referee so I took a fitful nap.

The rest of the day kinda just melted away.

Today’s theme is: idea.

I think I thought the theme was “lightbulb” and not “idea”.

I see where I was going with it, but missed the mark.

Whatever.

It’s a friggin’ miracle this thing is still going.

It’s Monday.

And everything is damp from yesterday’s rain.

I’m guessing tonight’s soccer game is cancelled because the fields are a swamp.

We shall find out soon enough.

In the meantime I have a fuckload of work to do.
