A Big Haul.

It all started when Teacher Sis told me that the Hot Topic in the mall was having a big clearance sale and that included in this clearance sale was a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Hoodie. I had already sort of talked myself out of getting it before we left, but I thought I should at least go and have a look. I had talked myself out of getting it because I don’t typically wear bright green anything anymore. Uniforms do not come in bright green.

Also, the mall. I haven’t been in the mall in almost a year. I don’t go to the mall. Teenage girls go to the mall. And creepy old men who go to watch the teenage girls who go to the mall. The bank in the entrance way to the mall is the deepest into the mall I have been since Dark Wombat came home last year and we hunted video games for him. Oh, and shoes. Video games and shoes. You are probably wondering why a person living in Japan would have to hunt down video games in our local mall. Two reasons, English and region coding, but I digress.

So, Teacher Sis and Prince Jazzbo pick me up and as soon as I get in the car T.S. hands me a fundraiser dark chocolate and almond candy bar and a hardback first edition of How to Lose Friends and Alienate People by Toby Young. Score! We then head for the border to think outside of the bun. We feasted on tacos and headed for the mall. Needless to say, I did not get the TMNT hoodie or the amazing shell-shaped backpack. I did, however, manage to walk out of there with an awesome Ol’ Dirty Bastard shirt. It came down to either the ODB shirt or a Tribe Called Quest shirt. I couldn’t decide and I ended up using my Phone-A-Friend lifeline. I called Dave. He talked me through it. We decided that since there was only one ODB shirt in my size that it would be foolishness not to get that one. I can always go back and get the TCQ shirt later. Word.

So, today is a school day. I think T.S. and I are slated to have tacos again tonight. We might opt for the buffalo chicken at Subway instead. We cool like that. Well, I’m off to school. More soon. ~SC
