Just My Type.

Be it, metal or wood.

Yesterday was a fun day.

My day consisted of running around with Teacher Sis and the Ninja. The first step in this process involved the Ninja stepping foot on Holliday Island. He was unaware of the rules. I quickly informed him about what happens when you come to my house. By “informed him” I mean that hit him with the Freeze Ray:

the Ninja.

the Ninja.

After he thawed back out, we headed off to lunch at Pho Vietnam. Dumplings, yo. Dumplings.

From there, our quest for a mahjong set began. We hit two of the Asian markets first. Although they had no mahjong sets, that we found, I did pick up a few ingredients that I need to make the next round of kimchi. So, start preparing your GI tracts for that.

After the markets, we hit a few used bookstores in Van Buren and wound up empty handed again.

So, we headed back into the Fort for a quick ride on the ferris wheel at the park at West End. That thing goes faster than you’d expect. If you didn’t see my video, check the Instagram or the Facebook.

Then, it was on to antiques. We hit Belle Starr first. No mahjong sets, but I found some sweet ornaments and cuts (the pieces of type used for printing images via letterpress). I also scored a plate for printing invoices, if the situation every arises where I need to do that.

A few less exciting antiques shoppes later and still no mahjong. It was then time to go to Hastings. They’ve redone the place recently, so there were about 9,000,000 records for me to dig through. My original intentions were to not buy any records, but then I came across a limited edition, silver vinyl, copy of Mouths of Madness by Orchid for $28 and I had no choice in the matter. So, I bought it. Of course.

It was at this point in the adventure that I left the two of them to continue their quest without me. It was time for me to grab a bite to eat and head to Praetoria for some real world Pathfinder adventure times.

We were testing out the new Roll 20 set up last night, so I took half of one of my “no more fucks to give” pills. I tried to rein in the luddite part of myself and let them work the kinks out of this new fangled technology. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. All I wanted was to murder the ever-loving-shit out of some hu-mahns with my bow and arrows. And maybe with my falcata a little as well. And most of the night we spent trying to get mics, and tablets, and Hangouts to work together. And then, I almost died. A lot.

Today, I’ll be spending the day hanging with Sweetbread, seeing as how I was preoccupied yesterday, when everyone went up to play the video games at Arcadia. So, I’d better go figure out what nerdy stuff we are going to get up to today.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

See ya’ tomorrow.

More soon. ~SC
