My Post-Graduate Work.

In Flyentology.

(Insert photo of me striking my B-Boy stance.)

Yesterday was mostly spent waiting around.

Waiting on work.

Waiting on the oven to cook my pizza.

Waiting on this to load:

Waiting for Saturday to get here.

And now it is here. I’m about to hit the road and seek out a letterpress adventure. All by myself.

K over at Ars Brevis was supposed to meet me there, but she had to cancel yesterday because she is overloaded with grading student work and printing orders. Nature of the beast.

So, I am heading into this alone and relatively unprepared. I mean I’m taking my apron, so I’m a little prepared. But I have no idea what to expect. It’ll be fine. If nothing else, I’ll get to talk shop with a bunch of other printing nerds. And since I’m going down by myself, I can leave whenever I want.

I take great comfort in that.

Before I head out, I wanted to discuss the “Live Musically” project. We are up to nearly five months worth of music! Yeah. A bunch of you have come through beautifully. There’s only been a tiny bit of crossover so far. So, thank you to those who have already posted. For those of you who have not, please make it a point to do so this weekend. The sooner I get those songs in, the sooner I can get to work on planning next year.

Having gone through the list so far, I can already tell you that I’m going to have my work cut out for me. I foresee a lot of costumes in my future. And oh so many props. Not the kind that you give to other people. The kind you use to somehow express the lyrics or underlying themes of a song in a single photograph. I can tell you right now, I’m going to need to find someone who owns a mule. The animal. Not the farm truck/golf cart.

Okay. I’m gonna go do this now. Wish me luck. Send me good road doogies. Call me if you want. I’ll have my headset. If I don’t answer, and it’s after 10am, I’m probably doing something to do with letterpress.

See ya’ Monday.

More soon. ~SC
