Oh, me? I’m, um, type o-possum.

The word of the day is: Babushka.

[ buh-boosh-kuh, -boosh- ] noun a woman’s scarf, often triangular, used as a hood with two of the ends tied under the chin. an elderly Russian woman, especially an elderly grandmother.

Brainstorming lights is hard work.

That’s pretty much what I’ve been doing in all the time in between projects this week.

Just a lot of staring at a ceiling.

Really hard.

I finished “DIRT” by Bill Buford.

It was really good.

Now I’m working on “The Queen’s Gambit” by Walter Tevis.

So far it’s pretty fucking great.

I’m curious if the Netflix series calmed down the language and content.

Because both are pretty bold in the book.

Which is a large part of its quality.

The rawness, if you will.

I’ll hopefully finish it today.

Next up is “Guards! Guards!” by Terry Pratchett.

It’s book 8 in the Discworld series.

The Rev. Dark Wombat has been trying to get me to read them all for the last 30 years.

I’ve made it through the first 7.

Maybe I’ll get through the other 32+ this year.

But there’s no telling.

I’ve gotta make through today’s madness first.
